Last Blast of Summer Conference - August 13-16, 2009
The KEMSA “Last Blast of Summer” Conference is to be held August 13-16, 2009 at the Wichita Marriott, and the KEMSA conference committee is putting the finishing touches on what promises to be another “out of this world” LBOS.

This event begins on Thursday, August 13 with pre-conference sessions and the third annual golf tournament.  That evening, there will be an exhibitor showcase and reception followed by the poolside social.

The main event kicks off Friday, August 14 with “EMS Around the World” presented by John Dudte.  Concurrent sessions will be held with general sessions in the afternoon.  New this year are EM²S sessions. (Read the conference information below for an explanation of these sessions.)  The ever popular casino night will once again be held with tons of prizes being given out.

Saturday has more general sessions and EM²S sessions followed by the KEMSA awards banquet.  Sunday morning will have three general sessions to complete the conference.  For the top ten reasons to attend the LBOS in 2009, click here.

Annual Awards - Call for nominations:

KEMSA requests nominations for its annual awards. All award nominations must be submitted electronically by July 10, 2009 using the forms on this website. All Kansas award winners will be honored at the KEMSA annual meeting and Awards Banquet in Wichita, Kansas on August 15, 2009 in conjunction with the KEMSA “Last Blast of Summer" conference. Don't forget these great tips about attending LBOS:

• Come prepared for cool rooms. The Air Conditioner at the hotel works well, and should not be discounted by the faint of heart.
• Be ready to mingle. The LBOS is a great time to meet fellow EMS providers and share ideas.
• Bring a bag for the goodies. Daily door prizes, plus give-a-away's from various vendors means alot of stuff to carry.
