November 19-21, 2021, KEMSA will be hosting the Fall 2021 CORE Conference in Salina, Kansas. This is an in-person event!

This is a 2.5 day educational conference from November 19-21, 2021 in Salina, KS for all levels of EMS professionals. This conference will provide 21 hours of EMS CE and will pertain to all levels of certification.  Download the flyer here.

KEMSA will be monitoring local regulations regarding COVID-19 any necessary precaution information will be shared with attendees as needed. 

Note: Starting in 2020, the Kansas Board of EMS has adopted a new continuing education plan.  They have taken away sub-topics and added a pediatric component.  See the new continuing education plan hereThe new 21-hour schedule for this conference will satisfy all core component hours for EMT and EMR.  AEMT and paramedics will need to complete additional core component hours to re-certify.

All registrations will be taken online. You will have the option to pay with credit card or you will automatically be emailed an invoice that you can turn in for payment. All registration fees are due on or before November 10.  If you don't pay by November 10, your spot will be forfeited.

Make sure to login for the member price.

If you need to register more than one person, just add a guest registration for each additional person you want to include. Then you will get one invoice for everyone.  Or if you are registering someone else, go to the registration form and substitute their information for your information that it fills in.

    November 10 (ALL payments are due by this date)
    If you don't pay by November 10, your spot will be forfeited.
Refund/Cancellation Policy
A refund, minus a $50 administrative fee, will be granted ONLY if cancellation is received in writing in the KEMSA office by 5 pm on November 10. No refunds or substitutions will be made after November 10.


Full Conference (Friday-Sunday):
$160 – KEMSA Members  |  $210 – Non-Members

Single Day Options:
Friday, November 19 - $75  |  Saturday, November 20 or Sunday, November 21 - $100 each
Cost includes CE hours each day and breaks on Saturday and Sunday. Meals are on your own.
Note: CE will be awarded in two hour blocks (peds is one hour), so you must attend a full two hour session to receive credit toward that core component.


  • Friday, Nov. 19: 1-6:30 pm covering four hours of airway, respiration and ventilation and one hour of pediatrics
  • Saturday, Nov. 20: 8 am-5:30 pm covering six hours of medical and two hours of trauma
  • Sunday, Nov. 21: 8 am-5:30 pm covering six hours of cardiovascular and two hours of operations

Kansas Core Components That Will be Covered:

  • Airway, Respiration & Ventilation – 4 Hours
  • Cardiovascular – 6 hours
  • Trauma – 2 hours
  • Medical – 6 hours
  • Operations – 2 hours
  • Pediatrics - 1 hour
After this conference, EMTs will still need an additional 7 hours to re-certify, for a total of 28 hours every two years. AEMTs need 44 hours and Paramedics need 60 hours every two years in certain core components to re-certify.
