F/T AEMT - Northwest Kansas EMS Ambulance Service

Northwest Kansas EMS Ambulance Service located in Goodland Kansas is taking applications for a full time Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT).

Goodland is located 17 miles from the Kansas/Colorado border on I-70 and three hours to the East of Denver and Colorado Springs. NWKEMS provides service to roughly 6,000 citizens in Sherman County along with many travelers along I-70, Hwy 27 and Hwy 24. The service runs 1,000 + emergency calls a year and provides ALS transport service to hospitals in the Northwest Kansas and Eastern Colorado region. The service has twelve full time staff along with reserve staff.

The applicant needs to enjoy working with the public and will be required to have excellent communication skills. Requirements include: high school diploma or GED, Nationally registered as an AEMT and able to become licensed in the State of Kansas as an AEMT, a valid driver’s license, able to work as a team player with other technicians during a 24 to 36 hour work shift, have good computer skills, and excellent patient care and customer service.

Starting salary is $16.00 an hour or $33,280 annually. Overtime can take place if requested. NWKEMS provides an excellent benefit package where Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance is covered 100% for single or family insurance policies.
