Clay County EMS - Paramedic Position Open
BEGINNING SALARY: Paramedic: $41,870.00 per year
SHIFT ROTATION: 24hrs On/48hrs Off

Under the supervision of the EMS Director, the Paramedic performs specialized work in providing ALS life-saving services (EMS). EMS work includes responding with ambulance service to emergency medical service calls, transporting sick and injured persons in our response area. Duties follow prescribed polices and medical protocols, but independent judgement is required in certain situations and events. Clay County EMS functions under progressive Medical Protocols and with State of the Art Equipment.

STANDARDS FOR INITIAL CONSIDERATION

  • Must be at least 18 years of age;
  • Available for written and physical agility test upon scheduling;
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent;
  • Possess Kansas or National Registry Paramedic with ability to obtain Kansas Paramedic certification in good standing;
  • Ability to communicate in a courteous manner and to work effectively with other employees, supervisors, and the public;
