Riley County EMS - Assistant Director

Riley County EMS is currently accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director. This is a full time exempt position that will report directly to the Director of Ambulance/EMS. The chosen candidate would be responsible for overseeing the day to day function of the department and will work with staff to ensure optimal performance, growth and customer satisfaction. They will assist the Staff Development Specialist with training, quality assurance and quality improvement of the department. The ideal candidate will have exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills, is a Kansas Certified Paramedic in good standing with the Board of EMS.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in EMS or health related field is required.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in Electronic Medical Records, will be an instructor in ACLS, BLS, PALS/EPC or will become an instructor within 1 year of hire.
