Norton County EMS is currently accepting applications and resumes for the position of EMS Director. The EMS Director supervisory responsibility will include but not be limited to the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Norton county EMS. The Director in this position assists in scheduling training for personnel in emergency medical procedures and oversees the smooth operation of the department. The EMS director works with various health, fire, and law enforcement agencies in providing continuing education and public relations for emergency medical services. The Director supervises the staffing and training of volunteers as well as full time employees. The Director shall carry out supervisory responsibilities to include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
