Riley County EMS is accepting applications for PRN EMTs, AEMTs, and two Full Time Paramedics. We offer a starting wage of $13.07/hour for EMTs and $15.68 for Paramedics. Our Full Time Paramedics earn an initial salary of $52,183.04/year with opportunities for annual performance based raises. Employees are eligible for KP&F retirement benefits, Health Insurance, Holiday Pay at 2.5 times their base rate, and Event Bonus Pay consisting of an additional $8/hr for staffing most events including Big 12 Athletics. We work a traditional Berkeley shift with no residency requirements. We employ a Full Time Director, Asst. Director, and Training/Quality Officer. We operate four ALS staffed units and a support vehicle out of three stations, two of which are shared with Manhattan Fire Department. We respond to approximately 4800 calls for service annually, provide routine training/education on duty, and offer a wide variety of community outreach opportunities through our active PR Committee.
