Riley County EMS is looking to expand its PRN Personnel roster to meet the needs of our increasingly busy service. At Riley County EMS, PRN Personnel are responsible for staffing routine and short notice openings on shift as well as staffing a variety of local events. We participate in over 2,000 hours of EMS Standbys in and around the Manhattan area each year, ranging from Kansas State Athletics to Kicker Country Stampede, and we count on PRN staff to supplement those operations. We desire candidates with an interest in general EMS operations as well as participating in a variety of unique and exciting standbys.

We employ a full time Director, Assistant Director, and Clinical Operations Officer. We staff 4 ALS ambulances based out of 3 stations, 2 of which are shared with Manhattan Fire Department and average 4,800 calls for service annually.

PRN Paramedics start at $15.68/hr, PRN AEMT’s $13.50, PRN EMTs start at $13.02, and all are eligible for an $8/hr bonus while staffing special events along with overtime at 1.5 times the base pay rate for any hours worked over a weekly 40 threshold.
