KEMSA has three societies representing distinct facets of EMS. After you join as a member of KEMSA
, you can elect to join a society or societies of your choice. There is an additional fee to join the Administrator's Society, but the other societies do not have a charge. Just indicate your choice on your membership application or renewal, and we'll make sure you are part of that society or societies. Learn more about the societies below.
KEMSA Administrator's Society
Representing the EMS service administrators & looking into issues with the operation of services. This group of EMS Administrators and service directors work to improve the way services are run and governed. President - David Adams - (785) 565-6591
Benefits for being a part of the Administrator's Society include: items in the members only password protected KEMSA member section (a discussion forum to discuss issues, a Library of Resources including sample MCI plans, etc.), reduced registration fees to events hosted by the society, bimonthly meetings to meet and network, and more. (There is an additional fee to join this society.)

KEMSA Educator's Society
Representing the EMS educators and addressing the education issues that are found. The Educator's Society was created in 2005 to provide a unified voice for EMS education in Kansas. President - Zach Bieghler - (620) 532-5624 (There is no charge to join this society.)
KEMSA Society of Billing Professionals
Representing the Billing Professionals of EMS Services & billing issues. The Society of Billing Professionals was created in 2013 to provide a forum for billers to discuss important issues and questions in regard to billing for EMS services. Membership in the Kansas EMS Association Society of Billing Professionals is open to EMS billing personnel, managers, supervisors, and others with an interest in EMS reimbursement issues.
