The KEMSA Board of Directors has carefully weighed their responsibilities to ensure the safety of Kansas EMS providers and agencies. We have decided to cancel the 2020 KEMSA EMS Conference & Expo, along with all in-person events in 2020, out an abundance of caution given the unforeseeable future. The gathering of hundreds of EMS providers from multiple EMS agencies in close quarters has the potential to impact EMS operations across the state and is an unacceptable risk in the opinion of the Board. This also means we will not give out awards in 2020.
The KEMSA team is working diligently to pave new paths in the delivery of EMS education to our membership and providers across the state. We will be working with national and local educators to provide high quality education targeted at the needs of Kansas EMS. KEMSA intends to leverage technology to provide access to timely education that will do more than simply meet the state renewal requirements for continuing education. KEMSA’s goal to provide the same high caliber content you would expect from our conference and other events in an online format. More details will come in June.
Mark your calendars for the 2021 KEMSA Conference & Expo, August 12-15, 2021 at the Kansas Star Event Center in Mulvane.
The Kansas Emergency Medical Services Association (KEMSA) is hosting its 2021 KEMSA Conference & Expo at the Kansas Star Event Center in Mulvane (south of Wichita), August 12-15, 2021. Our blend of speakers and the variety of the classes offered make this conference one you won’t want to miss! For this event, KEMSA focuses on putting together a conference that brings in cutting-edge clinical topics to help you learn new ways or review ways to deliver quality patient care in your communities while getting you some of your required continuing education hours.
Who Should attend? - EMS Providers of all levels, Educators, Managers/Supervisors, Service Directors, Medical Directors, Nurses, and others involved in the EMS Profession.
Continuing Education Categories – While the focus of quality clinical education has remained the same over the years, KEMSA has also worked hard again to provide you with educational sessions that help you meet some of the required components in the Kansas Continuing Education Plan. Each session has a corresponding CE category (and sub-topics as appropriate) listed on the schedule, so you can determine which sessions you want to attend to help fulfill some of your hours. If you still need categories and sub-topics to fill your requirements, check out the KEMSA CORE Conferences being held twice a year.
Lots of CE Hours – Another important element of the Conference is that we have kept the evening educational hours and early morning sessions for those who want them or need more hours. If you attend all the sessions, you have a chance to earn a total of 28 hours in just 3.5 days! This includes the sessions and opportunities including:
If you need hours, this is the place to get them at an affordable rate! And, you can still enjoy the evening entertainment once the evening sessions are over!
