2025 KEMSA CONFERENCE & EXPO - CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS

2025 KEMSA Conference & Expo
August 7-10, 2025
Hilton Garden Inn, Manhattan, KS

The Kansas EMS Association invites those interested in contributing to EMS in Kansas to submit proposals for presentation for the 2025 KEMSA Conference & Expo scheduled for August 7-10, 2025 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Manhattan, Kansas.

Submission Deadline: December 2, 2024 Extended to December 16

Submissions must be submitted online using the ONLINE SUBMISSION FORM HERE. We are looking for some sessions focusing on hands-on learning, leadership, and educator sessions - send us your proposals! 

You will complete the online form, attach the required materials, and submit. Incomplete proposals will not be considered.

If you have more than one presentation, you need to attach them to your submission. Please do NOT make multiple submissions. You can attach all presentations along with supporting documentation to your submission - OBJECTIVES ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS. 

Items required on the submission form:

  • Presentation title, description, and objectives
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Short bio (100 word maximum)
  • Publicity photo (jpg, 300 dpi)

Conference Information

The KEMSA Conference & Expo is the premier educational event of the year for EMS personnel. It provides attendees with extensive amounts of continuing education hours, social and entertainment events, networking, and much more! The conference includes a pre-conference day on Thursday to allow for more CE hours and hands-on learning. The regular conference days are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until 12:30 pm. Regular conference days include general sessions and breakout sessions.

Call for Presentations

The deadline to submit proposals is December 2, 2024 for the 2025 Conference & Expo. All proposals will be reviewed by KEMSA’s Conference Committee. They will be evaluated by the following guidelines:

  • Practical application of material;
  • Relevance to EMS in Kansas;
  • Timely or innovative topic;
  • Clearly identified objectives;
  • Overall quality & well-defined focus;
  • Availability; and
  • Type of Session.

Proposals that are not complete will not be considered. Notifications will be sent out after the review process has been completed.

Handouts

We would love to include your session handout or related materials in our mobile event app that will be available free to all attendees. Handouts will not be printed unless we get a special request.

Speaker Benefits

If your presentation is selected, you contribute to the advancement of your profession and you gain visibility and recognition as a leader in EMS.

Compensation - National Speakers

National speakers are from more than 350 miles of the conference location - Manhattan, KS and present four lectures throughout the conference. Compensation is as follows:

  • Lodging, meals and travel are covered by KEMSA.
  • Speakers are given a full conference registration and a KEMSA gift.
  • National speakers are also compensated a mutually agreed upon amount by KEMSA in addition to the above.

Compensation - Regional Speakers

Regional speakers are from Kansas or within 350 miles of the conference location - Manhattan, KS and present one or two sessions. KEMSA does not pay regional speakers for their presentation, but compensation is as follows:

  • Presenters traveling 90 miles (one way) or greater receive one night hotel for each day speaking at the conference, a full conference registration, and a KEMSA gift.
  • Presenters traveling less than 90 miles (one way) receive a mileage stipend as specified at the current IRS mileage rate, a full conference registration, and a KEMSA gift.
