DeLisa Merry has over 29 years of experience in EMS billing, having founded DeLisa’s Medical Billing Service in 1996 and filed her first ambulance claim that same year. Her journey into EMS was sparked by a contracted provider encouraging her to take on a leadership role in EMS billing, which eventually led her to join the KEMSA Society of Billing Professionals. This society, established in 2013, provides a forum for discussing key issues in EMS billing. Delisa has been chair of this society since 2020. She feels there is a need for someone to advocate for ambulance services, whether they are large or small.

DeLisa values her participation in KEMSA board meetings, where she has expanded her understanding of ambulance service operations, regulations, and industry challenges.

Married for 43 years with three children and seven grandchildren, DeLisa enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing on her deck with a cold beverage.
