Tuesday, January 21, 2025, 1000-1500The Kansas Emergency Medical Services Association (KEMSA) is hosting a Day at the Capitol event in Topeka, Kansas on January 21, 2025. All Kansas EMS professionals are invited to attend. Join us for our legislative event, which will feature a briefing, special guest speakers, lobbying tips, appointments with your legislators, and lunch provided by KEMSA. This is your chance to be a voice for EMS. There is no fee to attend, but we ask that you RSVP online using the link in the upper right by Jan. 15 in order to help with scheduling meetings with legislators and planning for lunch. Dress: Please wear your Class A EMS uniforms or business attire to represent the EMS industry. Cancellation: While there is no charge for this event, we will be providing lunch and scheduling appointments with legislators. Directions & ParkingThe Kansas State Capitol is located between 10th and 8th Avenue and between Harrison and Van Buren Driving directionsTraveling east on I-70: exit at 8th Avenue (Exit 362B.) Merge onto Monroe Street. Right onto SE 8th Avenue to the Capitol. Traveling west on I-70: exit at 8th Avenue (Exit 362B.) Left onto SE 8th Avenue to the Capitol. From the south: exit Kansas Turnpike at Topeka Boulevard. Left onto SW Topeka Boulevard. Right onto SW 8th Avenue to the Capitol. All visitors must enter through the Capitol Visitor Center on ground level, north wing, on 8th Avenue. All visitors exit through the same location. Underground parking garage
